Q: My clients are really interested in an experiential vacation. What sort of activities would they be able to partake in on the island of St. Lucia?
A: Firstly, Marigot Bay itself is described by James A. Michener, a celebrated novelist "as the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean" and is a destination within itself with its internationally renowned marina.
Scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing, exotic bird watching, climbing trips, surfing and kite surfing are just a few of the exciting activities available. For explosive sightseeing, guests can enjoy the infamous Pitons and island volcano that make the island of St. Lucia so memorable.
Q: My clients always ask if their hotel selection has a bit of history. Is there anything I can reference?
A: The Pink Snail, its lobby-level champagne lounge and reception area, is a design statement: see-through Ghost chairs by Philippe Starck are arrayed around a glowing pink-resin bar crowned by two huge twinkling chandeliers. The room pays homage to the giant pink snail from 1967's Dr. Dolittle, filmed nearby. That's not the only reference to the area's colorful past. The Hurricane Hole bar, was once a place where everyone from Sophia Loren to Michael Caine bent their elbows.
